We are very happy to recommend Sandy Johnston as an architect.

We first engaged Sandy to work on our project in November 2010. Sandy quickly grasped our wishes for the house. The building project took 21 weeks and ran to both time and budget (her prior assessments of these were very realistic) and we moved into the house at the end of August 2011.

Sandy’s management of the building process featured regular visits to the site, frequent consultations on the telephone and considerable attention to detail. She was very practical and clear in explaining any matters to us, which was most important as we had no practical experience of such a project. Sandy was extremely adept in coming up with suggestions as to the best way forward, but was also very content to talk through our own thoughts with us, and very helpful in ensuring that we reached solutions we were happy with.

In conclusion, Sandy is highly approachable, very good at design and providing suggestions but also sympathetic and understanding of our wishes. She was prompt at dealing with matters as they arose and communicated very well with both us and the builders throughout. We very much enjoyed working with her and are delighted to recommend her.
